Éxito de la Primera Misión Comercial de Bahamas en la República Dominicana
La ceremonia de inauguración tuvo lugar en la sede de PRODOMINICANA, con la presencia de la Directora Ejecutiva de PRODOMINICANA, Sra. Biviana Riveiro, y la Embajadora Dominicana en Jamaica y las Bahamas, la diplomática de carrera Angie Martínez. La delegación de empresarios bahameños, en su agenda apretada, recorrió diversos puntos del territorio nacional, incluyendo Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, San Pedro de Macorís, Punta Cana y Río San Juan, realizando reuniones de negocios y encuentros estratégicos.
La Embajadora Angie Martínez Tejera expresó su gratitud a las empresas dominicanas que participaron activamente en las rondas de negocios sostenidas en PRODOMINICANA a lo largo de la semana. En el encuentro con el Viceministro de Asuntos Económicos y Cooperación Internacional, Embajador Hugo Rivera, en la sede del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, la delegación bahameña presentó sus objetivos comerciales en el país y elogió la fortaleza y competitividad de la economía dominicana. El Embajador Rivera resaltó el gran potencial de la región del Caribe para generar beneficios empresariales y fomentar inversiones mutuas, destacando la importancia de aprovechar las oportunidades dentro de la propia región.
Las empresas que formaron parte de la delegación bahameña abarcan sectores clave como la construcción de viviendas asequibles y de calidad (ARAWAK Homes), servicios de gestión de proyectos y diseño en varios sectores de la construcción (On Point Bahamas), turismo y comunidad residencial de alto estándar (Jack's Bay), así como el sector de energía, gas y combustibles (Freeport Oil Company Limited - FOCOL).
La misión culminó con una serie de reuniones B2B en las que las empresas bahameñas exploran activamente alianzas comerciales e inversiones en diversos sectores, demostrando un entusiasmo palpable hacia futuras colaboraciones con sus contrapartes dominicanas.
Success of the First Bahamas Trade Mission to the Dominican Republic
The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Jamaica, in conjunction with the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, reported the resounding success of the First Trade and Investment Mission between the two Caribbean nations. The mission, held in Dominican territory, was attended by three prominent Bahamian businessmen from various economic sectors, such as energy, gas, fuel, construction, tourism, finance and insurance, representing companies affiliated with Sunshine Holdings Bahamas, one of the largest and oldest business groups in the Bahamas.
The opening ceremony took place at PRODOMINICANA's headquarters, with the presence of PRODOMINICANA's Executive Director, Mrs. Biviana Riveiro, and the Dominican Ambassador to Jamaica and the Bahamas, career diplomat Angie Martinez. The delegation of Bahamian businessmen, in their busy agenda, visited various points of the national territory, including Santo Domingo, San Cristobal, San Pedro de Macoris, Punta Cana and Rio San Juan, holding business meetings and strategic meetings.
